Draw on the frame, not on a screenshot
A screenshot with a red circle, pasted into a chat, loses the moment it came from. Drawing on the frame itself keeps the two together: the note sits at its timecode and the drawing appears over the picture whenever the video reaches it.
What to draw
- An arrow at the thing you mean: a prop, a person, a cut.
- A box around a region: the area to blur, the text to fix, the part of the frame to push in on.
- A line where something should go: a caption's new position, the edge of a crop.
- A word or two on the frame when the note is about something on screen.
How it works on post-prod.io

- 2Draw with the pen, arrows, boxes or text; pick a colour.
- 3Write the note and post it. The drawing travels with it, including into the printable notes and the zip of frame images.
When to suggest the edit instead
If the drawing is really an instruction (blur this, zoom here, fix this word), make it the edit itself. Drag a box for a blur or a zoom, type the right words for a text fix, and the editor sees the change played on the cut, not a sketch of it.
