Premiere Pro panel

Client notes on your timeline. In one click.

Press Pull notes and every note from the review lands on your open sequence as a marker, in the words the reviewer wrote.

In short

  • The post-prod.io panel puts every review note on your open Premiere sequence as a marker when you press Pull notes.
  • Pull again and changed notes update, new ones arrive and deleted ones go. Your own markers are never touched.
  • Mark notes done from Premiere, and upload your export as the next version without leaving it.
  • Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0) and later, on Windows and macOS, for admins on the team.

Pull notes

Every note, at its frame.

Each note becomes a point marker at its start, named with the note's own words; a voice note uses its transcript. Markers are coloured by kind, so the cuts, zooms and audio notes stand out along the ruler.

  • Pull again: changed notes update, new ones arrive
  • Your own markers are left alone
  • A badge says when new notes are waiting
Upload from Premiere

The next version, straight from your sequence.

Upload to post-prod exports the sequence, or just In to Out, as a review copy or at full quality, and uploads it as the next version of the linked file. The reviewer gets V3 without you opening a browser.

Mark done

Tick it off where you fixed it.

Click a note in the panel to jump the playhead there and read its replies. Mark done resolves it in post-prod.io and puts a ✓ on its marker, so the reviewer sees it handled.

Set up

Installed in four steps.

For owners and admins on a workspace with a plan.

  1. 1Close Premiere Pro and run the installer from Apps & integrations. It uses Adobe's own installer from Creative Cloud.
  2. 2Open Premiere Pro again.
  3. 3Window > Extensions > post-prod.io. Dock the panel wherever you like.
  4. 4Click Sign in with post-prod.io, check the code matches on the page that opens, pick the workspace and approve.

Apps & integrations

The details editors asked for.

Swap shots, delivered

A shot a reviewer swapped in downloads next to your project into its own bin, or drops onto V2 at its marker.

Your timecodes

Times show in your sequence's own timecode, whatever the file's, and a range note can show as a long marker if you switch that on.

Never changes the cut

The panel only adds and updates its own markers. It never edits your timeline by itself.

Other editing apps

Not on Premiere? Notes export as markers for DaVinci Resolve (EDL), Final Cut Pro (FCPXML) and Avid, or as CSV.

Where Frame.io is stronger: it is built into current Premiere itself, with no install, and comes with some Creative Cloud plans.

Questions

Which versions of Premiere Pro does the panel work with?

Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0) and later, on Windows and macOS.

Does the panel change my timeline?

No. It adds and updates its own markers when you press Pull notes, and never edits the timeline by itself. Markers you made are never touched.

Who can use the panel?

Owners and admins of a workspace with a plan. Reviewers don't need it: their notes reach you through it.

Can I reply to or resolve notes from Premiere?

Click a note to jump to it and read its replies. Mark done resolves it in post-prod.io and adds a ✓ to its marker.

I edit in DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. What do I get?

Notes export as markers: an EDL for Resolve, FCPXML for Final Cut Pro, and marker files for Avid, coloured by kind.

Can I try post-prod.io before paying?

There's a sample video you can open and review the way a guest would, with notes on the frame, drawing and a suggested edit. Plans are $10 an admin a month.
